Mr. Saad Ibrahim, P.Eng. - Principal Engineer
Experience/Key Qualifications:
Mr. Saad Ibrahim has over 26 years of diversified experience in the Petroleum Industry in Western Canada and Internationally including projects in Yemen, Libya, Egypt, Nigeria, Iraq, Turkey, Russia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Venezuela, Argentina, Peru and Ecuador. His focal experience is in Reservoir Engineering with emphasis on field development planning, evaluation of depletion strategies and production optimization of a wide spectrum of oil and gas fields. He has evaluated and initiated horizontal well applications that resulted in a remarkable increase in production levels. He also has a special interest in well test planning and analysis using state of the art software (F.A.S.T by Fekete and PanSystem). He has been involved in all phases of implementing secondary and tertiary recovery schemes. He has also expertise in technical and economic evaluations of oil and gas properties for acquisition and divestiture ventures. Mr. Ibrahim has conducted numerous technical presentations to the Petroleum Society of the CIM and various training courses to the industry.
Education:
Graduated from the University of Alexandria (Egypt) with B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering in 1973. He has also obtained a post-graduate diploma from U of C in Chemical and Petroleum Engineering in 1983. Mr. Ibrahim is a member of the APEGGA, SPE and CIM.
Ms. Dianne Robson, P. Eng. - Associate Engineer
Experience/Key Qualifications:
Ms. Robson has over 20 years of experience as a Reservoir Engineering Specialist. Dianne is well versed in formation evaluation, pool depletion optimization, wellbore optimization, reservoir simulation, economic evaluation, production and revenue forecasting, surface network analysis and optimization of gas fields, and regulatory matters from both industry and government perspectives. Her areas of exposure include B.C., Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba. Dianne has special interests in well test analysis using F.A.S.T. by Fekete and nodal analysis using W.E.M. by P.E. Moseley.
Education:
Ms. Robson obtained a B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering from the University of New Brunswick in Fredericton. She has acquired ongoing technical and “hands-on” training throughout her professional career from the University of Calgary and petroleum industry courses. Dianne is a member of APEGGA and CIM.
Ms. Faezeh Peyman
Experience/Key Qualifications:
Ms. Peyman primary focus is on Well Test Analysis and Planning using the state of the art software FAST (by Fekete) and PAN. She also has experience in economic and reserves evaluation using the PEEP and the Petro Soft (ARGO) software. She also performed wellbore design optimization utilizing the Well Evaluation Model (WEM) software. She also has extensive background in Mechanical Engineering in the area of pipeline inspection and the design of surface facilities including: gas plant design, gathering Systems and production optimization.
Education:
Ms. Peyman holds B.Sc. degree in Mechanical Engineering from University of Teheran, Iran, and a BSc. in Applied Petroleum Engineering Technology from SAIT, Calgary, Alberta. She is a member of SPE and CIM.
Mr. Dale Logie, M. Eng., P. Eng.
Experience/Key Qualifications:
Mr. Logie has over 25 years of petroleum industry experience in the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin and international projects in Saudi Arabia, Libya, Iran and Kazakhstan. He has held technical and management positions in major and junior oil companies. His major area of expertise is in Reservoir Engineering, which includes well test analysis, hydrocarbon phase behavior, core analysis, petrophysical analysis, reservoir modeling, oil and gas field development, production optimization and economic evaluation. He also has experience in preparing programs for well test, DST, perforation and acidization operations.
Education:
Mr. Logie graduated from the University of Saskatchewan in 1974 with B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering. He is a member of APEGGA.
Mr. Javed Iqbal, M.Sc., P. Geol. - Associate Geologist
Experience/Key Qualifications:
Professional geologist with over 20 years diversified Canadian and International experience in exploration and exploitation. Worked with Multinational, large independent and state oil companies. Experience in multi-disciplinary projects as team leader, and in international joint venture operations; gained in various frontier and mature Canadian basins, Africa, South America and Asia, ranging from basin studies to prospect generation and evaluation. Reservoir/development geology experience in both carbonate and clastic oil and gas fields, including operations, geological support for horizontal drilling, EOR planning and monitoring, and rehabilitation of mature fields. Full understanding of the business aspects.

Mr. Erwine Springer - Sr. Reservoir Analyst
Experience/Key Qualifications:
Mr. Erwine Springer has over 22 years of diversified experience in the Petroleum Industry in Western Canada. His main experience is in Pressure Transient Analysis and Horizontal Well Technology (HWT). He has done several screening studies for HWT and maintains a database of all horizontal wells in the Western Canadian Basin. He also has special interest in well test planning and analysis using state of the art software (F.A.S.T by Fekete). He has field experience in production testing and wireline applications.
Education:
Graduated from the Polytechnic Institute (Trinidad) with G.C.E “A” Level in Mathematics and Chemistry. He has also obtained third year status from U of C in Chemistry and Mathematics. Erwine is a member of CIM.
Mr. Gurpreet Sawhney, M.Sc., P. Eng. - Associate Engineer
Experience/Key Qualifications:
Reservoir engineer with 12 years of experience in reservoir simulation and enhanced oil recovery projects. Working as a simulation consultant since 1992, Gurpreet has managed and operated an oil and gas consulting company (10 people) for the past 5 years. Gurpreet’s areas of expertise include integrated reservoir modelling, compositional and thermal simulation, enhanced oil recovery, horizontal well modelling and EOS characterization.

Mr. Ian F. Smith, B.Sc. - Associate Petrophysicist
Experience/Key Qualifications:
Mr. Smith has over 19 years of experience in domestic and international venues, from both operational and project perspectives. Areas of interest include integration of core/core and core/log data, correlation of near wellbore log evaluations with geologic models, wireline, DST, electrical and acoustic borehole image interpretations to identify stratigraphic and textural changes within the reservoir that effect petrophysical parameters.

Graduated from the University of Saskatchewan with B.Sc. (Advanced) Geology. Ian is a member of the SPWLA, CSPG and CWLS.
Gawdat M. S. Ibrahim, M.Sc., P.Eng. - Associate Engineer
Experience/Key Qualifications:
Mr. Gawdat Ibrahim has more than 38 years of industrial experience in the fields of Petroleum and Project Engineering. As a Calgary-based petroleum consultant, he provides a broad range of engineering consulting services to the oil and gas industry in Canada and international.
His oil sands expertise include reviewing and evaluating revenue, capital costs and operating costs, evaluating project economics, conducting reservoir evaluations to ensure oil sands projects comply with regulations for new approvals or amendments. He also assists operators in applying for OSR project approval and dealing with government agencies including Alberta Energy and Utilities Board, Alberta Environment, and Alberta Innovation and Science.
Mr. Ibrahim has consulted extensively in Canada and overseas with international assignments in the areas of Project Management, Reservoir Engineering, Economic Evaluations, Development of Oil and Gas Projects Financial Analyses, Acquisitions and Divestures.
Prior to his career in consulting, Mr. Ibrahim was involved in the pioneering development of a number of oil sands recovery technologies. In Imperial Oil, he was member of a team that developed the first Steam Assisted Gravity Drainage (SAGD) project in Canada. The SAGD project was implemented at Imperial’s Cold Lake Oil Sands Project in 1978. Subsequently, he coordinated the development of BP’s oil sands field project utilizing enriched air in an in-situ combustion process that followed cyclic steam stimulation as a primary recovery process. As Manager of Engineering with Canadian Worldwide Energy, he participated in the development of a commercial oil sands project employing cyclic steam stimulation and steam flood in Fort Kent.

Mr. Ibrahim has a Masters of Science degree with a major in mechanical engineering from the University of Calgary. He is a member of the Association of Professional Engineers, Geologists and Geophysicists of Alberta.
Dr. Sami Fahmy, B.Sc., Ph.D. – Project Management & Associate Engineer
Experience/Key Qualifications:
Dr. Sami Fahmy PhD, P. Eng, PMP. is a Global Registered Educational Provider (R.E.P) with the Project Management Institute. He obtained Doctorial Degree in Project Management from University of Calgary. Dr. Fahmy has more than ten years of Project Management teaching experience. He has extensive experience as a university Professor, instructor and lecturer. He has taught Project Management workshops at Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT) and PMI (Edmonton PMI Chapter). He presently teaches Project Management graduate courses at University of Alberta (Engineering Project Management and Risk Management) and University of Calgary (Project Construction Management), and also a visiting instructor with City University.
Dr. Fahmy is a professional engineer with more than 30 years of Project Construction Management experience covering a wide range of project management technical areas. He managed hundreds of projects of varying sizes and complexity.

Denis Gaudet, P.Eng. – Associate Engineer
Experience/Key Qualifications:
D.R. "Denis" Gaudet, P.Eng. is President of DRG Resources and Director of Technology for Petroleum Technology Alliance Canada, a collaborative R&D facilitator? He has over thirty years of worldwide engineering, operations, and executive management experience with three international service companies (Halliburton, Nowsco and Fracmaster). He has substantial international experience in the land-based and offshore service industries, with emphasis in Europe and Africa. In his role as Director of Technology Transfer with PTAC, he is exposed to virtually all of the new technology in the Canadian petroleum industry. . His wide range of expertise includes Fracture Stimulation & Regain Permeability, Reservoir Conformance and Water Shut-off Technology, Drilling, Completions and Reservoir Stimulation, Stimulation and Coil Tubing Operations as well as Property evaluation and Reserve Calculation, and Frac Sand Market Evaluation.

D. Andrew Gittins, P.GEOPH. – Senior Associate
Experience/Key Qualifications:
Mr. Andrew Gittins is a Senior Management Consultant in International Business Development. He specializes in negotiations, contracts, bid presentations, and evaluations of energy related projects, including oil & gas properties, power generation and service contracts related to the Petroleum industry. He has extensive experience with international company registrations, Local Partners, negotiations of Joint Ventures with Governments or/and private companies, production sharing and incremental production agreements, presentations and contract negotiations for service companies. Mr. Gittins is a Professional Geophysicist, with over 27 years of diversified, multidisciplinary experience in Canada, the USA and internationally. He worked from the Client Company as well as Service company perspective and has full understanding of the business as well as political aspects of international projects.
Mr. Gittins works in international missions as a Special Advisor, and reports directly to Executive Management. He acts as the point man and evaluates business opportunities worldwide, represents the company, participates in Bids, negotiates contracts and evaluates the overall risk and reward of a project and makes recommendations on the course of action to management. His strength is his ability to work in ambiguous and unclear situation, to asses the real opportunity, the length of time it will likely take to conclude a deal, and the general assessment of the cost to get to closure (or not). Mr. Gittins has extensive experience in all continents, is a fluent native Spanish speaker with experience in Latin America, Asia, Africa, the former USSR, China, SE. Asia and Australia.

Ms. Ortmann is new to the oil and gas industry. Her primary background is in the field of international development and in the not-for-profit sector. Within this field she held positions of director, administrator, developed a number of educational and training programs and also carried out marketing and business development initiatives. She has travelled extensively and speaks a number of languages including Spanish, Russian, Slovak/Czech and some Hungarian.
